I am sorry to say, but there is nothing for you to set up. Anu calculator comes with a CAS or does not come with a CAS, and this one does not.
If you want a calculator with a CAS, here is a list of some of them
Casio FX-Algebra 2.0
Casio ClassPad 300/300 Plus/330/330 Plus
HP 50G/49G+/40G39G+
Texas Instruments TINspire CAS
TI Nspire CX CAS
TI Voyage 200PLT
TI 89 Titanium
TI 92 Plus

Hello,
I suggest you reset the calculator by removing the main batteries. This will free up space to solve the problem.
Hope it helps.

SOURCE: Is it possible to get euler's number on this

Hello,
There is no key dedicated to e, the base of natural logarithm, the same as there is for pi. However you can find it as the VALUE of the exponential function e^(x) for x=1. To obtain the VALUE of e you press [SHIFT] [ln] to access e^x, enter 1 and press [EXE].

Thus
[SHIFT][LN]1 [EXE] gives 2.718281828.

If you need that numerical VALUE often you may want to store it into a variable, say E. To do that
[SHIFT][LN]1 [-->] [APLHA] E [EXE]

From experience, I know that it is not the VALUE of e that you need but the symbol e to define the exponential function. If you press [SHIFT][LN] you get a syntax error. You can never see e in a multiplication, addition, or other arithmetic operation.

In this calculator, the e is first and foremost the symbol for the exponential function. If you need to draw the exponential function of X
you press [SHIFT][LN] X. Parentheses are not needed for simple arguments as this one, but if the exponent is a complicated expression parentheses are needed.
If you mean exponential of X you type [SHIFT][LN] [X,theta,T], but if you want exponential of (x-3z+ 0.5 y^2), you must enclose the argument (the object of the function) between parentheses
[SHIFT][LN] [ ( ] x-3*z+ 0.5*y [^]2 [ ) ] [EXE].

Hope it helps.

Hi! I have a TI-nspire CX CAS and I was wondering how to enable the results to be shown in thousands separators (1,000 or 1'000). Thanks for your help!

At first press on key, then Settings and finally Document Settings. From this menu on the position Base choose Decimal. See captured image below

How to factor

The TI 86 calculator does not manipulate algebraic expressions. If does not have a Computer Algebra System or CAS. Try the TI 89 Titanium, TI92/92PLUS, Voyage 200 PLT, TI Nspire CAS, TI Nspire CX CAS. In Casios you have the ClassPad series (300, 300Plus, 330 Plus and the latest 400. The ClassPad 400 has a color screen. It is also orientable portrait or landscape. Other Casios are the Algebra FX 2 and 2, and the FX 9860 G Plus/ SD. In HP you have HP 50G, HP49C, HP49G+.

Can you calculate indefinite integrals on the casio fx-9860G

Unfortunately, the Casio FX-9860 G does not have a Computer Algebra System or CAS. For this reason it can only calculate definte integral over a given interval. The lower and upper limits must be supplied. The result will be a number.
Casio calculators that have a CAS are the Casio ClassPad CP330/ 300Plus/ 330, or the Algebra FX 2.0.

How do I factor using the fx-115 ES calculator? would a problem like 9x^2+24x+16-Z^2 be solvable on this calculator? If not, does Casio sell any calculators that would help me factor this equation?

No, your calculator cannot factor polynomials. You need a calculator that has a CAS (computer Algebra System)
Yes Casio sells calculators with CAS: The FX-Algebra 2.0 and 1.0, the FX-9860GPLUS/GII SD, the GRAPH85 or 80 and the Graph 100+. You also have the CLASSPAD Series 300PLUS and 330.
TI and HP also have CAS calculators.

Texas Instruments
TI 89 /Titanium, Voyage 200PLT, TI92PLUS (discontinued), TI Inspire CAS.

Hewlet-Packard
HP 48G/G+/GX, HP40G, HP49G/G+ and the top of the line HP50G

How to do matrix with variables?

Hi,
If I understand correctly you want to perform matrix calculations on matrices the coefficients of which may be numbers and/or letters (variables, parameters). While you can calculate on numerical matrices, you cannot do so with matrices with non numerical coefficients. this calculator does not know symbolic algebra.

For symbolic algebra and calculus you would need a calculator with a CAS, Computer Algebra System. Exemples of those are the TI89, Ti92, Ti Voyage 200 PLT, The Casio FX-Algebra, the Casio ClassPad, HP48S/X/G/GX/G+, HP49G/49G+, HP50G, HP48GII etc.

Hope it Helps.
