Press the Flash/program button until 1Eng, 2Fra, 3Esp shows in the display
Use the CID/VOL (left or right arrow) button or the handset number pad to select 1. The default setting is English.
Press the Flash/program button to confirm and to advance to the next menu feature

Hi,
Look for the web address on the machine or on it's container. If found, go to the website and click the english version or locate the icon represention english speaking country to get the version.
Locate the download menu on the site and click manual or any similar info. If it doesn't work, then contact me on abbeyglobeatyahoo.com.
Goods day.

Answering machine is in spanish not english

LOTS! http://www.home-electronics.net/ge/pc/IB/27851GE1_IB.pdf

According to the manual, you hold the SKIP button down for 2 seconds and it reverts back to English. (Don't hold it down again or it's Espanol time).

My answering machine

I think I found a solution. On my phone model 27996GE3-A, I unplugged the phone for a few seconds, plugged it back in and waited until the display showed the number of messages and then I pressed the "skip" and "review" buttons at the same time and then it announced the the language changed to english. Hope this helps.

To resolve this issue hold down the skip button for 2-3 seconds and it will change back to English.
My phone is mfg by Thomson, go to their website
www.thompsonnetworks.com for the manual, just key in the 5 digit model number, you do not need to type in GE. Hope this solves your problem

Just as the other answers that were left...you just have to press the skip button. Just make sure that you press announce on the cradle...not on the phone...then when you hear the voice in Spanish just press and HOLD the skip button until it changes to English. Good Luck
