This is not too difficult to fix for the average do-it-yourselfer.

You'll need to secure or replace the "interlock support".

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

If you don't find yours, or if you want to look at it without disassembling the oven, you can download it here.

How to remove whirlpool microwave

Usually, there are 2 or 3 screws on the top of the microwave that hold it up to the bottom of your cabinet. Have someone hold the microwave while you remove those screws. Then allow the microwave tip down about 20?, then you can lift it off the bracket on the back-bottom of the microwave, and remove it. NOTE: On some older microwave ovens, there is a lever or latch behind the grill vent that you need to pull to allow it to tip down. And on a few (very few) microwave ovens, there are 2 support arms that the microwave will slide out on, instead of tipping down.

You will need a Samsung dealer repairman, the inner mechanism will need to be serviced because for some reason it is jammed or there are broken parts.

Door not closing

If the door is not closing, the door latch is broken at the tip, or inner mechanism, or the door is out ot of position and not lining up.

Inner Bootom Door Hinge Broke off...since then it will not turn on...Will that prevent microwave from functioning?

You probably mean the door LATCH broke off. Yes, that will prevent your oven from operating. The door latches operate switches inside to indicate that the door is closed. If the control board doesn't see the right switch settings, it thinks the door is open and won't allow cooking. Replacement latches are available, but you should check with a professional shop to do the repair. If door repairs aren't done correctly, there is a chance of microwave leakage and an unsafe oven.

Panasonic microwave door is stuck. The door is not opening

If you push in on the open door button and it just goes in and does not open the door, then the problem is that the plastic piece that actually opens the door has broken. You can verify this by removing the cover from the microwave and look inside. If you are handy just buy the part from the panasonic parts store in your city and replace it. If not take it in and they will replace it for you.

Good luck

The door on our Panasonic "The Genius" Inverter won't close. The hooks on the door seem to have free play and won't grab when the door closes

There is a spring inside the door that holds the latch (hooks) down.

The spring is connected by a little tab or loop on the back of this latch assembly and one on the inside of the inner door panel.

Usually the tab on the inner door panel is where the break occurs.

Disassembling the door and replacing the door panel is a big job.

If you or someone you know is a handyman, you can disassemble it and epoxy in a piece of material to replace the broken mounting tab / loop.

It must be squeaky clean and dry and you need to let the epoxy set up undisturbed for about 24 hours.

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
