Question about Sony Boom Box With CD Player & Cassette Recorder,CFD-S01CD Radio/Cassette/CD Boombox
In the middle of a song, the music stopped playing and the word "Protect" is now showing in the display screen. I have tried to unplug the boombox and plugging it in again, but that does not seem to help. None of the function keys are working, the boombox appears to be locked up. What can I do to get it out of this "Protect" mode its in?
The protect message indicates that there is a problem with the final stage of the amplifier section. This unit will require repair as a reset will not clear this. There is an audio amp IC inside that needs to be replaced. Figure on about $15 or so for the part.
