Question about Reddy Heater-170,000 BTU Kerosene Deluxe

New heater will not stay lit

Burns maby 10 minnutes goes out not fuel thermostat turned up
170,000 BTU Heater only has about 4 hours of runtime total

    Mine will run about 5 minutes and just shut off. The flame light also comes on. I just turn the switch on and off and it starts right back up.

    I tripped over my 30,000 BTU propane heater while it was burning and turned it over. It went out and now it will not relight. Can you help?

You have had dirty fuel or water in your fuel need to replace the fuel filter behind the thermostat.

Can you burn diesel fuel

Hi, If this heater is the Reddy 170,000 b.t.u. heater, model # 170t professional series, then yes you can.It is a multi-fuel heater. Fuels it can use are Kerosene, JP8, Jet A fuel, 1&2 Diesel fuel, and 1&2 fuel oil. It must be this model 170T.

Cant adjust wick when it is lit

There is no wick,turn the thermostat down,if the thermostat does not work,you can order a new one on,,type this in,,,,reddy heater parts,and order it on line.

Master 160,000 btu will not stay lit

pull out flame sensor and sand. Re install and call for heat

One of two things, a high heat limit control or the flame sensor, also check your air line that runs to the heater nozzle could be cracked, not enoughair to fuel mix will make it burn dirty.

Wont fire

No solution. The electronic control monitors the flame in the heater using a photocell. The ligth intensity and frequency are monitored to insure that the heater getting a good burn and therefore not emitting a high level of toxic gasses.
