Have Samsung Blu-ray player, and TV displays the message "mode not supported". The player is new and up-to-date and will play on other TVs that we have. Our old Sony Blu-ray player would not play new Blu-ray discs, which is why we bought the new Samsung player. Is there another player that will play new Blu-ray discs with this TV or is there an update for the TV that would help?

Are you sure the tv is 1080p capable? Usually when "mode is not supported" is displayed, it means that the tv can not handle the signal format that is being input to it. If you are using HDMI, then signal formatting is usually handled automatically. If you are using component video, you will probably have to tell the PS3 to step down the signal to either 1080i or 720p.

Hi there.
Have you tried putting the disc in the other way around? Sounds simple i know, but sometimes it can be. Otherwise check that it is a compatible DVD disc, ie the correct region/zone.
Hope this helps

There is not a code that Insignia can provide to use the TV remote with your Blu-ray player, but there is a programming method that can be found here.
