    Good morning!
A couple of questions. By blank, I am assuming that means a black screen? Is there a white cursor (Blinking or not) up in the upper left hand corner of the screen? Do you have access to another computer?
    Thanks, Ron

Tried posting a couple of times before, but guess they didn't show up, so will try again.
Just for grins and giggles, try the following and see if it doesn't do the trick.
1-remove and reseat the hard drive and try again.
2-remove and reseat the memory module(s) and try again.
3-remove the battery & power cord and let set for awhile. At least for 1/2 hour and maybe as long as over night.

Try these as a first step and let me know how you come out.
Thanks, Ron

How do I make a recovery disk?

Which operating system ?

there are some you can download

If you computer crashes and your hard drive fails, you can lose a lot of data and spend a great deal of time trying to find all your discs and re installing all of your information.

It can be very difficult to find and re-install your operating system if you do not have the original CDs that came with your computer.

But if you create a recovery CD for your computer, the restore process can be much faster and quite easy.

Put the blank CD in your CD writer.

Click on the Windows Start button.

Click on the Control Panel option.

Click on Backup Your Computer from under the System Maintenance section option.

Click on the Backup Your Computer button on the Backup and Restore menu.

Select your CD drive from the drop-down list and press the Next button.

Click the Start Backup button to begin the backup process.

you might need to use dvd rw depending on the size of the backup

Ignore the Send/Dont send options.

J) Close this message window by clicking on the X in the upper right corner of the Send/Dont send window.

Next click on the View advanced options for system recovery and support option and from the main menu once again click Startup Repair.

Laptop problem

hey

Pranay first of all you should avoid using software which are pirated and opt for original windows.

as you said your screen goes blank for that you need to scan your system with a free software which is Hijackthis which is available on google.com scan and send paste the log file in this window and I will tell you what has to be done. Moreover you need to scan your system with sav32cli antivirus which will scan your system at the command prompt.

HP NX9030 NOT BOOTING

This is not a hard drive problem. You simply have a corrupt installation of Windows. Blank you drive (format it ENTIRELY) and re-start over again with a fresh install.
