    Hi,

Just a couple questions. Can you see the leak? Does it leak when the tub is operating or filling OR leaks only when draining?

    Will reply, Phil

You need to pull the jet body out and then put some 100% RTV silicone around the jet body and the inside of the wall fitting. Once the silicone is in place re-assemble the jet. that will solve the leak unless there is a broken piece on the jet body or the lip of the wall fitting.

Replacing jet

When you installed the new jet, did you install a new gasket on the wall fitting or use 100% RTF type silicone?
In order to seal a wall fitting that is cracked an leaking, the replacement must have either the gasket or silicone to seal the wall fitting against the wall of the tub or it will leak when filled with water.

Leaking jacuzzi jet

The workings of a bath jet...From the inside of the Bath there is a wall fitting that threads from the inside of the tub into the jet body located on the outside wall of the tub.
If the jet is leaking at this point behind the tub then you should take the wall fitting out of the tub and put a small bead of 100% RTV silicone around the flange of the wall fitting and reinstall it.
If however, the leak is from the PVC piping going into the jet then you will need to replace the jet.

if you have a water stain on the ceiling below your tub then you have a water leak. There is no easy solution for this. You must get to the underside of the tub in order to watch the jets when the tub is full of water to isolate the leak and then have it repaired by a plumber.

One of the small jets is leaking water on the back side. There is a big plastic nut I'm not sure will loossen to allow repair. The plastic piece going into the jet fitting looks a little cocked and that is...

It sounds like the plastic nut is cross threaded and may be hard to remove but you can always use a hot knife or soldering iron to cut through it and replace with new.

Good luck

I have a Jacuzzi brand bathtub/whirlpool 6 years old. One of my jets leaked and created a significant damage downstairs. How can I fix the jet, how can I prevent other jets from leaking? Can I just kill...

The gasket around the jet may be leaking because it is deteriorating or the flange nut on the outer side of the jet has loosened up. Check all jets for loose hardware.

Many time leaks around pumps are a simple o-ring that needs to be cleaned and/or tightened. If the jets are leaking from the back side then the jet will have to be removed and resealed.

Good Luck, Phil
