Question about Polycom SoundPoint Pro SE-225 Corded Phone
MWI doesn't work on an pair of new Polycom SE-225 handsets I've just put in on our BT Meridian 1 telephone system. The BT Converse 420 phones that were on the same extensions previously were fine to work with Message Waiting Indicator, and I've confirmed that the extensions are still programmed with MWA (message waiting allowed) and LPA (lamp allowed). Might the Polycom Se-225 not suit our Meridian system?
The issue isn't exactly resolved. This appears to be due to an incompatibility of the Polycom Se-225 on our Meridian 1 phone system. But Converse handsets with MWI work fine. I have a partial solution by disabling the lamp (LPD on class-of-service), while leaving MWA setting. This allows the interrupted dial-tone when the user lifts the handset.
