Question about Power Acoustik TS620-2 Car Audio Amplifier
My system had been working fine, A clarion reciever hooked to the amp. running two 10" kickers. I needed space in my trunk so I unhooked my speakers for a day. Now When I hook them back up my subs are not working and the LED on the Amp is lit red(protect mode). I have unhooked the battery to try and reset everything but that did not work. Any suggestions would be helpful. James
Check the wiring at the speakers themselves. It's possible that while you were moving the box one of the speaker wires came loose and shorted against the other terminal. A shorted speaker wire or damaged speaker will cause the amplifier to go into protect mode. If you have a digital multimeter with a resistance feature, you can test the resistance between the positive and negative terminals for each speaker.
