Question about PC Laptops

Is it normal that the webcam of this laptop (1001 TU) is so dark? sometimes only the light can be seen but still it was so dark eventhough I already adjust the settings. and one time its just black and white and blurred picture or video? Everytime I used the microphone when I chat, they can't hear me even a single noise. but I can hear it just so hard for me to understand because the sound was so soft even the sound is already at a maximum level. the battery was easily been heated and drained even I just used it in a few hours. is that problem normal with this laptop?i just buy this last saturday and the store didn't want to entertain this problem they said that its normally like that even they would change another one. is that true? thanks.. I really need your help

    thank you edson.. i really appreciate your comment.. but what if the store keep telling that it was normal?I already tried to return it but to bad it can't be refunded. sad... but they compare it with another one and it just desame so they told us thats normal..and didn't replace a new one.. do you have any example how bright the webcam is?

    thanks again.. I really appreciate your response. by the way I can't do anything I try to go their awhile ago but they still didn't replace it coz' they told me again that it was really like that. and I can't refund the money anymore. Now i just want to go at hp company or center to ask directly to them or let them fix the problem of this laptop. I really hate it.. anyway im thinking if I gonna change the item into accer aspire one? what do you think? advice is that better than hp 1001TU heheh :) tnx

Hi! Sorry for delay (Time difference) I don't know how old the item is, but if as you say less than 1 month then our Law stipulates if the product isn't serving the purpose it was manufactured for i.e. (No contrast or sound on your p.c.) then the purchaser is entitled to a FULL refund.
It appears that even if the demonstration of other new items are the same then this product is definately NOT! fit for the purpose it was manufactured for.

Hi! I wouldn't think this is normal, you should have almost perfect viewing in semi bright light and sound should be bang on.
Looks like a return, you should do it as soon as possible as some stores offer fix or replace only before 7 days, then manufacturers return.

    Hello again, You have me between a rock and a hard place on this one! Have you sent mail directly tp H.p.? if not try shooting one across their Bows! be polite and tell them clearly what the store has/hasn't done for you then ask could there be a product recall in place for this model.

    My Father-in-Law uses the Acer and so far No problems, he isn't p.c. literate so I have to clean it and keep it running smoothly.

    I must admit the Graphic's and screen quality are excellent however I only use self built machines(Desk Tops) that if GooF I repair/upgrade.

    I must say though, the 2 recent H.p. laptops I've had Nx 6120 & Nx 9010 are on the floor in my Study both defunct so maybe that sway's your decision.

    Good Luck and don't be afraid of the Big Boy's Cuz they were small like us once. And their Bottoms are just as big to Kick!

Si tienes Windows, ve a Inicio, Panel de Control, Hardware y Sonido, Administrador de dispositivos. Te saldra un arbol con todos los dispositivos de tu pc. Busca en Dispositivos de imagen y seguramente tengas ahi tu webcam desactivada. Haz clic derecho encima y selecciona Habilitar.

Webcam is to dark. Solution is
1. Perform brightness and contrast settings on the webcam.
2. Add the light from outside.

This is an issue with all windows based computers. It is quite normal. you have 2 options: Get a desktop with a flatscreen lcd monitor or buy a mac. Mac laptops have the crispest clearest screen I have seen so far on any laptop.

Web come visibility problem


In the options for your camera should be a setting for low light compensation, this will slow down your camera a bit , but will brighten things up. Another option is to get a light that sits behind the camera that you can shine on you.

More problem than negative photo in web camera intex.


if its a WEBCAM issue then try to get replacement i think sometimes these webcams start giving dark pictures bcoz of the CCD or CMOS engine fault bcoz normally they are lower quality used by most vendors Acer is best in this category, and if ur lcd is showing different colours then it might be the LCD fault try VGA out to some other monitor or lcd if the colors are ok then ur LCD is going to be dead in coming days other wise ur vga is gettin hard time try n temme
