The front panel says the instructions are inside, however there are no instructions to re-ignite the pilot light. Can anyone give me a clear step by step method to re-ignite the pilot light? Thankyou

Switch the gas valve to pilot then hold down the red button and light the gas with a flame then hold it down for at least 1 min then release the button and switch the gas valve to on.

Brivis buffalo 85 main burner not coming on pilot light is on fan comes on ???

If the pilot is on the thermo couple is ok. Could possibly be a faulty temperature limiting switch, it may be stuck and just needs a spray of WD40 or similar product. Then again I could be completely wrong.

New blue flame heater, everything is hooked up, gas is going to unit, I have a natural gas hookup, in the correct port, knob is turned and locked into the NG position but unit wont light. There is gas...

do you have the pilot light burning if not then you have to get in burning first
Put knob in pilot position push down and hold for at least 30 seconds or longer then if there is an igniter push and release it push and release till pilot light comes on .Continue to hold pilot light button down for another 10 seconds or so, release pilot button and turn button to on or up a number or set T stat
Main flame should come on and burn

Not light

check to make sure that the poilet lite flame is touching the tip or top of the thermocouple.
the pilot lite needs to heat up the thermocouple so that the thermocouple opens the gas to the main gas log. a cold thermocouple shuts off the gas to the main gas log or gas burner and a hot thermocouple opens the gas to the main burner.
the pilot lite flame must be touching the thermocouple to heat it up.
pilot lite orface needs to be clear to let the pilot flame gas through with enough pressure so that the little flame can reach & touch the thermocouple. Pilot lite gas feed tube must be clear to let gas through. Use compressed air or a fine sewing needle, or even carb cleaner to clear out orface hole and gas feed line to pilot lite.

important!! WARNING:
if you use carb cleaner, make sure all the carb cleaner is dry, soaked up with paper towell or kleanex tissue and blowed out with compressed air , because carb cleaner can burn just like gasoline; so any carb cleaner must be compleatly gone before you attempt to lite the pilot lite.

My pilot light wont light and my heater will not stay on.The ignitor is cliking as if it works but will not ignite and if I manually light it the lighter will not stay on.

Essentially all gas devices regardless of which gas used, are equipped with a thermocouple that monitors the pilot light's condition and if it fails, it will not permit the main flame to light or the pilot light to stay lit. In your case, it may be that the TC failure also prevents the lighting of the pilot light.

Pilot light

Hi the thermocouple is a long copper wire that goes back to the gas valve from the pilot .

i would clean the flame senser first , then check the pressure switch jump this out , then check the fan control or snap disc jump this out see if it runs if you need A THERMOCOUPLE then honeywell universal will do

Pilot light wont stay lit once heater shuts off/ light goes off randomly

Hi Watertec00,

I am not familiar with this heater but it sounds like it could be a blockage in the main gas line into the heater or perhaps a blockage to the pilot gas line and maybe starving for gas. Best bet first is to check the main gas line from the heater. Easiest way to do this is to remove it from the heater and blow it through with compressed air. Then try the heater again. If that doesn't fix the problem then you can try blowing compressed air down through the pilot line. Could be a little dirt creating a blockage there. Then try the heater again. If it still does the same thing then try removing the panels to expose the heater's piping. If you can remove the main pipe into the heater from the gas and blow compressed air through it it should clear any obstruction from both the main line and the pilot. If this doesn't work then I would think you have a more severe problem and will need to take it to your local Heater Repairer. Hope this helps.

Regards
Bryan
