Entering PUK code on RIM Blackberry Pearl 8100

I have the PUK code from my service provider in the US (AT&T). Where am I supposed to enter the PUK code? And am I supposed to have the AT&T SIM card in the phone when I enter the code or the new SIM card (Indian SIM card)?

I need to unlock my phone so that I can use an Indian SIM card with this phone. I was informed that I need to unlock my phone so that I can use SIM cards other than that provided by AT&T. I got the PUK code from the my account on the AT&T site.... I think that maybe I have confused the PUK code with the phone unlock code. Thanks for the response! I may need to contact AT&T to get my phone unlocked....

The PUK code, (Personal unblocking Code) is used when you enter in a PIN wrong too many times. Not sure why you would need a PUK for inserting a indian SIM card. regardless the PUK code should be entered in when the AT&T SIM is inserted in the phone and asking you for the PUK. Also PUK's can change, you may need to call and get a more current one

Oh, OK that is different. When I worked for AT&T a few years back they would NOT unlock phones UNLESS you had paid full price for your phone or you were out of your 2 year contract, But, that may have changed, good luck!

I have a puk code for my blackberry pearl 8100 but i forgotten the puk so if anyone knows please contacat me plz x thanks xx

If you have forgotten the PUK then the only way to get another is via your airtime provider. If you have forgotten your BlackBerry password, then nobody, not even RIM (the manufacturer) can help you.

I need to unlock my blackberry pearl 8100 in order for it to work on another network. currently its on rogers IMEI # 355507.02.083608.1 please can u help

Its simple all you need to do is buy an unlock code from a website like http://blackberryimeiunlockcode.net/ or any other website, on website order your unlock code by entering your imei number & network which your bb locked to. You`ll get your unlock code through e-mail with in few minutes with instructions of entering the unlock code. Just follow the instructions for entering the code & That`s it your blackberry has now unlocked & then you can use it with any GSM Sim card worldwide.

The Website will give you the blackberry unlock code as cheaper, as well as much faster (within 1 minute) than a shopkeeper does. Website also gives you a 100% money back guarantee if the code does not work. This is the best way to get unlock code for your bb & unlock it from the comfort of your home.

Unlocking through code is permanent means it cannot be re lock again itself!!!

Puk code

The puk code is sim card spesific it comes with the sim card when you get it or you can get it by calling your phone service provider of the sim card to get the puk code.
if you have entered the puk code wrong too many times you will make the sim card useless and you will have to contact your phone service provider for a new sim card, it will probably cost.

Hi there

Hi

You can obtain the puk code by contacting your phone service provider.

If youhave entered the puk code wrong too many times (tried to guess it)thesim card has disabled itself, and its useless, you will have tocontactyour phone service provider to obtain another sim card.

I've explained more about it here
