try this, you will need to register on driver guide but it is free to do and this might be a match, if not then a quick search on the site will get it for you, it is a sis330? or is it the xabre 400?

PC screen problem: do I need a new graphics card (where to find?) or is it a driver or other problem?

I had that once but so long ago I can't exactly remember the cause.

I think I replaced the graphics card.
If my memory is correct I was sure it was the graphics card because my pc had on-board graphics that had been disabled because a graphics card had been fitted so I removed the card, transferred the video lead and restarted and it worked ok, just not as well. I replaced the graphics card and it was fine.

If your pc has on-board graphics that is currently being used, it probably means the motherboard is defunct, though fitting a graphics card in an expansion slot could render it usable once more.

There are several reasons for hardware hangup.
But, if there is a problem with nVIDIA PCI express card, then the problem could be with the GPU.

It can be overcome by doing reflow technique.
You need to do following.
1. Uncover ur PC casing
2. Locate the nVIDIA PCI-E Card.
3. On the card, locate the power supply pin of GPU fan.
4. Remove the pin.
5. Switch on ur PC.
6. Still u may get scrambled display/wavy screen, but wait for 5 minutes.
7. Press reset button on ur PC.
8. Ur PC might work.
9. Switch it off.
10. Connect the power supply pin back as it is.
11. Power on ur PC.
thats all.

Removal of fan power, makes the GPU to get high heat, it a reflow technique.
Remember, not to touch the GPU portion (heat sink), as it may be in higher temperature.
Try this, it works most.

Ati readon 2400

Hello,
For this operation, you will need to power off the PC and connect your monitor to the ONBOARD graphics connector on the motherboard. While you have the PC powered off, unplug the PC and remove the newly installed card and reboot.
Download and install DriverSweeper, save it to your desktop.
http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-(Setup)_d1655.html
Reboot into SafeMode and run DriverSweeper selecting ONLY the drivers that are ATI related but NOT your chipset drivers. If you had an Nvidia card previously installed, you need to select those drivers as well.
After that is complete, restart the PC into normal mode and THEN power the PC off completely. Reinstall the ATI 2400 and hook up the VGA cable to it.
Reboot the PC but within seconds after you press the power button, start tapping the F2(or applicable key) key to access the BIOS. In the BIOS ensure that the Video is set to the proper interface AGP or PCI-express but NOT onboard.
Then go here to download Omega Drivers.

Just follow the prompts and good luck.

Self Test Check Your PC & Signal Cable Monitor Is Working''

ok the only 2 ways to verify is first hook up your monitor up to another pc and verify that the monitor works and the 2nd method is to get a video card and try it and order for the other card to work the onboard video card must be disabled in the bios by hittinf f1,del,f10 or if you are uncomfortable with this take your pc to a repair shop and let them check it out
Pls take time to rate this solution
