Upgrading a har drive on a desktop is pretty easy. just open the case (while powered down) pull out the hard drive and copy down the make and model. go to a computer store or online to newegg and buy a bigger drive in the same interface (ie. IDE or sata).
there is usually detailed instructions has to how to do the data swap and how to set the jumpers on with the new drive.
