No Disc and open - close problem

the tray opens it self all the time I cant even watch any DVD

-   SAME PROBLEM WITH SONY DAV-DZ20 , but i try cleaning thru the lens cleaned CD this works BUT the problem is same ... no idea whats the issue is ??-   Guest

-   Hi! I also have the same problem. My DAV-DAZ100 is about 15 months old and was used less ( May be less than 100 CD/DVDs Playback). Last month I recorded a movie from my Laptop to DVD-RW media and then tried to play on DAV. It took some time to read it and finally displayed the title menu, but used to hang after that. After trying t couple of times, it totaly stopped reading it and started saying "No Disc". The worst part is it stopped accepting any disc after that, and when I turn is on with a CD/DVD, it keeps opening and closing its tray continously.
Just thinking do Sony has some inbuild software to protect piracy, which got correpted.
I am planning to tak it to Sony Service center, but if someone knows a solution it may help me save few bucks and time.-   APANT
