Question about Computers & Internet
Hi! I am having SONY DVD RW AW – G170A installed in my PC. Now there is some problem in its working. It can write the DVD’s but cannot read them; where as other computers can read them. The message shows “Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format, that is not compatible with windows.” It can read CD’s. I am having windows XP SP3 installed in my PC. Please help.

I believe the read head is not aligned properly. I would send it back for a replacement. I have had this happen several time after the DVD burners/readers had many hours on them.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
