NO VIDEO

first check to see and smell if there is something burning. if so keep it powered off! I had to have dell replace my motherboard because of this! If you dont smell anything, you can add an additional PCI card to see if everything else works. If you or a friend dont have an extra PCI card then you are kind of stuck until you get one to make sure the motherboard actually works. If you happen to be luck and have a motherboard with a pci card in it then make sure that the PCI card is seated firmly. Most of the E521 motherboards had the onboard videocard so you are probably out of luck. I would call dell and hope it is still under warranty. http://www.dell.com/us/en/dfh/desktops/dimen_e521/pd.aspx?refid=dimen_e521&cs=22&s=dfh
But if it is not adding a video card is probably your best bet. If youdo put in a card change your bios to the correct video first place. Either AGP or PCI or express depending on how old of the E521 is will depend on the peripherial port you have acess to.

Gateway 5310 series Multi videocard output

The MB video, is automatically disabled when you plug in any other card, accordingly, usually it is "Enabled" when it is taken out. You can adjust the Video RAM size sometimes via the BIOS, though. Now to get the drivers, look on the MB, there will be a set of big, Numbers and Letters, usually white, or black, by one of the slots, that is the Motherboard's identity, or get Everest, a free MB identity program, now, using that number Google, that-number + motherboard drivers, That will get you them, download and install. XP SP2, would be better...

Your video card for that computer might be faulty. If it is intermittent, you can take out the videocard and put it in another slot. If your motherboard has a built in video card, then you might want to try putting the card there as well. It would help of you get a rubber eraser to erase the part of the card where it enters the slot. If these does not work, then you might want to isolate by putting the working videocard from your other computer. If the card works there, then your other video card needs replacement.

I turn on the pc but nothing will appear on the moniter

If you try to use another monitor and still no display, there must be a problem with your video card, which is the port being plugged in by your monitor's cable.

There are 2 kinds of video card, the 1)external (Accelerated Graphics Port) and 2) built-in(with the motherboard). So where is your monitor being connected? If it is in the built-in video card, try installing an external videocard.

Meanwhile, If you are currently using an external videocard, you can try to replace that.

My pc not working and gives 4 beep only

Most probably, this could be a videocard or memory problem.

Try opening your CPU and take out the memory and place it to a vacant slot. Make sure it is properly installed.

Do the same also with your videocard.

If it does not work, try isolating the problem isolating the problem. If you have extra memory or videocard, it is best to do trial and error by replacing one at a time to determine whether the memory or the video card is defective.

I have a new graphics card and the connections dont match

the motherboard might be VGA, and the card PCIE, the connectors will not match, more info is required, better still check motherboard specifications, and look for the right type of graphics card.

Re:video card

In most pcs the video card is in a brown expansion slot inside the pc. OR then its build in into the motherboard.
