Question about Computers & Internet
Purchased a G.E. minicam pro & i think i sucessfully installed all of the hardware;but when i'm chatting & invite a friend to view my web cam they only get a black screen. My friend said he had a similar problem & thinks i just need to download an older version of yahoo but that one that will support vista. Problem is i'm completely computer illiterate & dont really know what i should be looking for. i need drivers of p/n861208-0000 pd lz547bb web camera
Yeah I had same problem with mine, when someone tries viewing it, all they got was a black screen too. Downloading an "Older Version Of Yahoo Messenger" wlll not solve the problem, as being "Older" it would be even more less likely that it would have supported you Webcam back then, let alone now.
Unfortunately, just one of those things. You can either Buy a New Cam that comes with Vista Support, Backup your whole system & format the hard drive & install Windows XP. Or you can just sit back and hope that Support will be added for your Webcam in the near future.
(Although 2 yrs later and I still can't see My OLD Webcam listed as compatible with Vista, so may have a long wait).

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
