This is strange, as normally CD/DVD drives don't need to have specific drivers installed they use generic ones.
Quite possibly it could be your chipset or SATA motherboard chip that needs the drivers, have you installed these either from the web or from the drivers CD?

Features:
  • Standalone, no PC required.
  • DDR2 Technology allows up to 8x Blu-ray duplication.
  • SATA Advantages - Thin cables for easy routing and improved cooling inside the duplicator chassis, increasing product reliability.
  • Dynamic Hard Drive Partitioning automatically adjusts hard drive partitions based on the size of your master disc.
  • Master Error Proof prevents duplication failures caused by disc errors. Simply exchange the failed master disc with a working disc without interrupting the duplication process.

Acer 5102 with xp, It wont boot from cd.

Make the DVD your 1st option for booting. It's also your CD drive but is identified as the DVD RW. Once this is made your default (make sure you accept and save the change before exiting) with your installation disk in the drive, boot up and it will read off the disk and prepare your system for install. If your disk is bootable, this will work.
