My Blackberry Curve 8310 camera stopped working - viewfinder shows bluish tint and picture is blank. It is only a few months old and worked when I first got it. Plugging it in makes no difference.

I found this solution on Blackberry forums. You'll need to take the battery cover off, and then push on the camera lens, or more accurately, the ring surrounding the camera lens. You should see the image corrected. I just tried it on mine, and it worked like a charm. Easy, cheap, quick fix.

I'd be curious to know if it's an electrical problem, a lighting problem (most likely) or a physical lens issue (focus).

Anyway, try it - it should work.

Yes it worked for me too. I almost gave up. Thank you. An important lesson to remember and remember always: never give up no matter it seems that you have hit a wall. Give a try, next time with a different approach/solution.

Brilliant ! This solution is awesome. Worked on my blackberry like a charm. Why don't the blackberry engineers wake up and fix it..obviously it looks like a very common problem

I had that happen concurrently with a battery failure. When I made calls, there was a lot of interference and it died after only a few minutes of talk time. Also, my camera came up with strange, bright (pink, yellow, white) colors. I assumed it was a battery problem because the symptoms dissapeared when my curve (8320/ unlocked t-mo on rogers) was plugged in.

I replaced the battery for about 20$ on-line and everything's been fine since.

Hope it helps.

Reflash your blackberry phone, it should be works and will make your blackberry camera curve 8300 unlocked. If that solution not working, bring your phone to nearest mobile phone repair shop and asking them to unlock blackberry using cable unlock. It's not only unlock your camera but also unlock your network if successful.

Blackberry will not send pics as mms

The BlackBerry device user is unable to send photos taken with the BlackBerry device camera in Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages, because the photos taken by the BlackBerry device camera may be too large to send in MMS messages.
Reduce the size or quality of the photo and resend.
To access the size and quality options for the BlackBerry device camera, complete the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera application.
  2. Click the menu button.
  3. Select Options.
  4. Change the Picture Size and Picture Quality settings as required.
  5. Click the menu button and select Save.
And try to send the photo in an email message instead of in an MMS message.

Blackberry curve won't pair with my bluetooth headset

Hello,

Try the following. Hope this helps.

Okay,

1. Go into "Media" on your BlackBerry and enable incoming files (Menu-->Receive using bluetooth).
2. Find the file on your friend's device that you wish to send, and beam the said file accordingly.
2a. If you have not "paired" (created a friendship between) the two devices before, you will need to do this first...
2b. One of the devices will ask for a PIN code first and on this device you need to create a four-digit, numeric password that can be anything you like.
2c. On the second device, enter the four-digit, numeric password you created and follow the simple, on-screen prompts on both devices to complete the pairing (you can also pair the devices in advance by going into Menu-->Set Up Bluetooth).
2d. Depending on the devices being used and the time taken to complete the pairing, you may need to re-send the file (go back to step 1), otherwise, continue below...
3. When your friend's device tries to send you the file, your BlackBerry should ask you to name the file and where to save it; if you have not set the device as "trusted" in the bluetooth settings (Options-->Bluetooth-->your friend's device), you may need to approve the file transfer first though.
4. The file should now be on your device.

Note: by default, all
* Pictures are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/pictures or /Media Card/BlackBerry/pictures if you have a memory card.

* Sounds (including songs) are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/ringtones/ or /Media Card/BlackBerry/ringtones/ if you have a memory card.

* Videos are saved /Device Memory/home/user/videos or /Media Card/BlackBerry/videos if you have a memory card.

In other words, unless you specify somewhere else in step 3, this is where you will find your file.

And remember, your incoming file transfer WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU FIRST "PAIR" (CREATE A FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN) THE DEVICES, go into Media and CLICK MENU-->RECEIVE USING BLUETOOTH!!!
