Re: how do I reset the keys
When you turn the machine off for a few secounds and then turn it back on it automatically resets. if it doesn't, leave it off for longer. if it still doesn't work make sure the ribbon and correction tape are installed correctly and arn't interferring with the printwheel

Space or backspace to the margin you wish to change touch the margin release key, space to the location yuo want press the R or L margin key, on some T/W's the code or alt key may have to be used to access these functions.
First press the Code key and Q simultaneously. That will reset the wheel position. If it clicks or otherwise fails to type properly, pull out the wheel and inspect it. One or more of the types may be bent. In that case, the wheel needs to be replaced. Good luck finding the part.
there is a key that has BOLD printed under the letter on the key, or it may be printed above the top keys on the keyboard, hold down the code key and hit the key under where it says BOLD, or the key that has it on it. to take it off, do the same thing
MARGINS: Left margin space or tab to where you want margin set and depress the mar L key. Sometimes the key has to be depressed as you hit the code key. If you want to move carrige to the left, go to margin hit margin release and bk space to where you want. Same with the right margin only use th R margin key. Code key usually keys have second message are in green, yellow or red. Use code key with the small print on the key to activate that function.... Good luck
Use the code key..hold down while you press the left margin set key...if you have to go beyond the left margin press the mar rel key and backspace to the spot you want the margin to be. Then proceed using the code key and left margin set . On some typewriters turning them off resets all th margins..some it does not
The printwheel has lost it's home position. Release the lever holding the printwheel, remove it and re-install it. Push the lever toward the platen to lock it in. Turn the typewriter on. The printwheel should spin, the carriage should move to the left and the come back to the left margin. You should be OK after that.
