You need to remove the cover where the power button is located, be careful as there is a ribbon cable attatched to the mainboard under here to pulling to vigorously may cause the cable to get pulled out. Then you need to remove the screw(s) holding the keyboard down, thats all just put the new keyboard abd tight the screws properly.

BIOS

Step 1:
This might not be your laptop it might give you a guide into the cmos battery
The CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) battery saves basic settings on your computer. If the date and time function on your Acer notebook isn't working, chances are your CMOS battery needs to be replaced. Separate from your laptop's main battery, the CMOS battery is about the and shape of a coin and is located inside of your computer. Changing the battery yourself isn't the simplest task that relates to your Acer, but it isn't terribly difficult either. Here's how.

Open the notebook screen until you can easily access the keyboard. Locate the plastic bar that borders the top of the keyboard. Insert the flat head screwdriver at one end of the bar and gently pry it up until you can grip the edge with your fingers. Pry the other side of the bar up with the screwdriver and pull out the entire bar, being careful to mind the ribbon cord that connects the keyboard to the computer. Remove the two screws on either side of the keyboard that secure it to the computer. Slide the keyboard up and place it to the side. Remove the four screws on the exposed metal plate that covers the motherboard and remove it. You should now see the CMOS battery in the bottom-right-hand corner of the motherboard. Remove the battery by gently pulling it up and off the motherboard. Replace it with the same model battery (available at any computer store or online). Reassemble the computer the same way you took it apart. Acer TravelMate 6592G Keyboard Replacement Guide http://tomkaminski.com/acer-travelmate-6592g-keyboard-replacement-guide

Travelmate 2410 keys not working

You don't need any drivers. Laptops and desktops use an internal win device driver. You can actually find the file called keyboard.sys

What you need in your case in a new keyboard. For your Travelmate they sell for about $50. It takes maybe 10 minutes to change it out. This is something you can do at home. Look on you tube for something like laptop keyboard replace and you can see the process and decide if it is something worth trying. If you google or bing or whatever for travelmate 2410 keyboard or laptop parts you can find several dozen sources. If you look they will have instructions or videos for your travelmate.

Where can I find instructions on HOW TO open my Acer TravelMate 212TX (210 Series) notebook? I need to replace my keyboard or at least have to check/inspect connections. After cleaning my keyboard on/from...

You have no ideea what the problem is, but there is a problem.... so you say. I can see that you have not any ideea abou what is inside one notebook, let alone repairing one. Let it be done by someone who know (at least about how to open and close the unit), else you can not only destroy it, but you can loose also informations and data from inside.

How do I fit a replacement keyboard for my acer travelmate 4150

You need to remove the middle cover of the laptop and unscrew a few screw at the lower case. Try the find the logo keyboard at the lower case. I think just this model got screw to remove first to take it out.

Keys do not work intermittently. Need to remove & clean.

Most travelmates have a couple of clips holding the keyboard in place, if you look at the top of the keyboard there is usually 4 clips that you can gently push back with a screwdriver. Just be carefull of the ribbon cable attached to the keyboard, don't yank it out.

Some keys work some dont

You can probably find a keyboard on Ebay that will fit you computer. It is not difficult to change the keyboard, but it does require some expertise.
As a temporary solution you can use an external USB keyboard or a wireless keyboard. They are readily available.
