SOURCE: Sudden loss of suction.

Check the inlet down by the brush roll to see if it is clogged. Also check the belt to be sure it is ok. Is there suction at the hose? If not then it is still clogged.

I had the same problem with my vacuum. I called in for technical service and was told to push the "reset button". It turns out that there is a small red button right next to the dirt indicator light. I pushed the button, plugged the vacuum back in and started it up and it worked like a charm! :) Hope this helps!

Check to make sure that any/all intake vents are not blocked by debris. If that's o.k., then you need to replace the belt(s). Once the belts get stretched, they no longer work properly. This is normal and happens as a result of regular usage.

My hoover max extract dual v stopped sucking up the water on just its second use. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

The most likely problem is there is a restriction somewhere or a suction leak. Check to make sure you have good suction where the waste water tank fits down onto the machine. Make sure the lid is on the waste water tank and follow the flow of suction from the machine through the waste tank down to the floor and look for debris clogs or any area where there may be a suction leak. If you have good suction coming from the machine the problem has to be somewhere between there and where the water is being sucked off of the floor.

No suction on my Pro heat steamer

You may want to check to see if the removable nozzle is correctly placed into its place. This is the plastic part where the water is sucked up through by the carpet cleaner. The nozzle notches must fit into the groove on the cleaner correctly and the metal bar need to snap back on top of the removable nozzle, Also sometimes if you have hair trapped in the nozzle or the bristle, it will affect the suction power of getting up the dirty water. The dirty water tank need to snap in place by making sure the top of the gray snaps on each side is over the top groove of the dirty tank on each side and the the gray snaps are pushed down and pushed into the tank to until it is snapped in place.
Super Simple answer could be: The Dirty water tank could have bubbles in it causing it not to **** too.

It is not sucking up the water I have it together right, but I am not getting the dirty water out of the tank It is dry when the water is gone.

Try checking the lint filter to fix your suction problem. It is located in the top clear plastic section (the one with the dial to switch from tool to floor use). It is a small (1 inch square) red plastic filter with a little door on it. Flip open the door and it is probably clogged with hair, carpet fibre, etc.. Clean it out and you should have proper suction once again.

My cleaner is not dispensing the shampoo solution. Still sucks up the dirty water that I manually applied with a scrub brush. I use this on my tiled screen porch floor and it has worked great many times.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover SteamVac Carpet / Upholstery Deep Carpet Cleaner.

There is a release value in the bottom the holding tank that may be bad and not opening or the trigger assm in the handle may be broken and not connecting to release the water to scrub and clean the carpets. Hoover steamvan cleaner F5807

If this has a duct part #38661003 (#3) that is supposed to be installed in front of the tank isn't there, then you will have no suction to pick up the dirty water.

If this doesn't use a duct, then either the foam filter (#2) is up all of the way, need to leave 1/4 in. gap from the top, or the rear of the tank lid is not locked down.
