1 Answer

I am having problems with my belkin wireless usb adapter, while at first i thought it was a problem with the router, i now realize that my problem lies with the usb adapter receiving the wrong ip address, where it should be receiving something like 10.0.0.4 it is receiving 192.168.2.3

There's a big possibility that your computer is set with a static IP, computer should be set to Obtain n ip automatically, follow this Go to control panel and network connection then look for Wireless connection>right click on it and click on properties>look for Internet proptocol TCP/IP from the list>click propeties>a new window will open just set it to both Obtain and then click on OK and close all the window, then after that check if the computer is already getting a new IP if still no restart the computer....

Bellkin G+ Mimo usb adapter - invisible

Use this tip as a check list.
Check if you set the correct SSID + Key and "connect if router is not broadcasting" set in your adapter configuration.
If you do not know Key you need to reset from Router.
If you missed SSID you can check on any PC when connected to WLAN and retrieve the name of NON BROADCASTED network
