The movie file has to be into SMV file. Otherwise it will not play on the player.
ello all I had the same problems. But to sove it you have to convert you movie frist to mpeg. I use Any Video Conveter Convert it to mpeg frist. http://www.any-dvd-converter.com/products/for_video_free/ Its a free program. Or Can use media coder both are free and work great. http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/index.htm Then Open up SMV conveter tool it only converts avi, mpeg, divx, link for this one is http://www.soft29.com/freeware/smv_converter.htm Read the help file there if you mp3 play has a 1.8 screen use setting 128 x 160 on dimesions. Tested and works with RCA,Sony,GOGEAR, and about 70 brands of mp3/4 players.

Mp3 player play music. MP4 players are capable of watching clips and movies in MP4 format. What you downloaded needs to be in that format and your player has to be MP4 capable.

I'm trying to put my existing DVDs on the Sansa e250

If the movie file you are trying to convert is too long, then the converter will get stuck - this player is not big enough to really handle full length DVD movies. It's more for shorts from YouTube, etc. If it is a half hour show, or something like that, you may have a copyright protection issue that is blocking you. i'm not endorsing any illegal activity, but here is a comment from an owner of your player (hint hint):
"
It Worked!!! I loaded the DVD Decrypter & Chopper. I was able to convert the show into clips and the clips have been loaded onto the Sansa. The entire show is about 47 minutes; it converted into a bunch of files. I was able to find the four .VOB files that "formed" the show. Is there a way of linking all the clips together? The way it is on the Sansa now is as 4 individual clips. Each clip seems to end and begin in the middle of dialogue and not at "traditional" DVD chapter points. If there is no way of bridging the clips together, that is fine. I am just glad I was able to get the show loaded onto the player at all. Thanks again, I really appreciate your patience."
