The computer doesn,t send the command for the ac clutch to kick on and off but if i hook a jumper wire to the relay the air works great
Check the relay(s), it may have bad contacts, there is more than one as you radiator fan should turn on when the AC clutch is activated. you'll need a VOM (Volt Ohm Meter) and a power source to check. there should be a diagram on the relay showing the pin connections for coil, common, and outputs. run continuity checks from common to outputs.
(you say it works great when jumped, so iam guessing that its not a too low or too high on freon)

should be a fuse in engine compartment drivers side black box and there will be fuses for each sep. window.chech the fuse-under box cover the fuses are labled.if fuse good may have bad switch-check <remove switch from panel after removing panel.check with key on for power at switch if power is good press switch chech power on motor by removing wire connector and test with light/meter at connector.if power good motor bad>hint motors are interchangable so you can use rear drivers motor for example before you buy anouther motor.i have 4 good ones if you need :-> [email protected]

there is usually a relay block (black in color) either on the right or left side under the hood, and in front of the wheel well. Don't discount the possibility that you may have a bad pressure switch on the line. That is a safety device that is now installed on most all vehicles. If you turn on your defrost, you should hear the clutch on your AC clicking on and off. If you do, there is another issue. If you don't, then listen for a faint clicking. This is a small relay so it maybe very hard to hear, even if you found it. You many actually have to lightly put a finger on the relay cube to see if you can feel it clicking. If this is clicking, but the AC is not kicking in and out, replace the relay. If this is NOT clicking with the defrost on, then it is not being told that it is ok to. This may be the pressure switch that drops out if the freon is too low, or too high.
