Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, pls determine if all the 5 diagnostic LED's as well as the front panel LED are lit and not flashing.

  • If yes, then pls check the inside of the TV with special attention to disconnected or loose connectors/plugs. You may want to start on the vertical yoke of any of the CRTs.
  • If no, pls post back the LED blink/lit codes.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

The protection circuit is cutting in and out and it is really just a high current detection system.
This is very typical of loose connections and cold solder joints which are easily diagnosed by giving the set a whack with your hand in a few strategic places.
Tops would be dried out thermal compound on the VOT and HOT (Vertical and Horizontal Output Transistors)

This sounds like a power source problem...it may be your flyback or your transformer!

My daughter has a Koodo samsung slide phone - it is about 8 months old. Recently it has started randomly shutting off. Sometimes when she opens it, and sometimes just randomly. IS there a setting to fix...

Hi, when a phone randomly shuts off, it means that the phones memory is faulty or when an application you downloaded has virus.

What to do is this,

You can try this code first, *2767*2878#, If this not work,

You will have to flash the phone to restore the memory of the phone.

You can use this link to see how to flash your phone

and

Take care.

My verion envy phone turns off randomly now wont turn back on

Its not the battery. My VX9900 shuts off randomly (powercycles) when Im using the IM app., and has recently started doing it with direct texting. Searching around the web I discovered its a fairly common issue with the VX9900. It turns out theres a firmware upgrade available that fixes the issue and adds a few more features to the phones software. Best to just take it back to Verizon and ask for the firmware upgrade to T99VZV04. From what I understand they may need to keep the phone for a day, but ive heard of people having it done on the spot, taking about 30 min. I also understand its a no charge update. Just make sure to back up your contacts and remove the SD card! I havnt had a chance to take mine in yet, but will be asap..its getting worse and really annoying!

LG ENV2 shutting off

I just got mine a few weeks ago and it does the same exact thing (I didn't drop it, there is no water damage, I didn't understand the cause of it). I took it back to the Verizon store and I was told that the random shutting off like that is caused by having the phone outside being exposed to heat. He reset my phone back to factory settings and that did the trick for awhile (its hard for me to go to the pool and not have my phone exposed to the heat). There is no charge for them to reset the phone. Mine has started the random shutting off again back up

LG 800 Randomly shuts off

I was told that it is the key locking feature that when the phone sits idle for a while it shuts off and goes into the key lock mode. Hit the end key on the side twice and it will stay unlocked as long as you use it, but once it sits for a while it will automatically shut off and lock
