Question about Primera Technology Bravo II DVD Duplicator (62743) DVD±R Burner

1 Answer

My printer will not print text.

When I clean and purge it will print on the disk. but thats all it will do. The color ink is at 50% and black at 96%. I just bought some new disk for the the printer thinking that might be the problem. they have a smother finish on them than the old disk. I tried a old disk witch has a more rough finish but it still did not work. The printer is about one year old and ive only changed the black ink once. All I print is text.

Did you try and change the ink cartridge mode from color + black to color, or vice versa? Another thing you can try is to "prime" the ink cartidges by taking them out of the printer and gently pressing on the print nossels to get the ink flowing, then put the cartridges back in the printer.

Poor print quality

Try printing a test page, which shows a sample of the colors in the ink cartridge individually, usually yellow, cyan and red. It may be that the blue ink is getting low. You did not say whether you were printing text (black) or photos (color).

Magenta ink not display

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.
