Well, I just downloaded Dogz5 to go with my Catz5. i one day tried to open my game it said, "Please insert correct disk, press OK and restart the application." So I opened the disk drive, my game was in there. I tried to uninstall my game, but when ever I try, I have to wait a long time, then the screen turns white. I click Ctrl Alt Delete and it says that my Petz5 setup is not responding, so I have to exit the program. I tried a thousand times and I still have no solution. Help would be appreciated!

4 Other Users Have The Same Problem

I loaded both catz and dogz 5 onto my computer, but now they wont play. It says that "petz5 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I have tried to uninstall it but I have to wait a long time, then the screen just goes white. HELP!! This is on my main computer, but on my laptop, the game works fine. I think I caused the problem by forwarding the date on my computer, to make the game go faster, them putting the date back. That would confuse the game.
Is there an easier way to uninstall the game? and can I fix the problem?

Yeah, it's the same for me as well. I already downloaded Catz 5 and burned the CD, but after I installed it, it doesn't want to play and the same message, 'Please insert the correct CD-ROM, press okay and restart the application'.
It's incredibly annoying and I've already tried most of the solutions below like cleaning the CD and burning it as an image file. I can't use the download website because I have to pay. I really need help because I miss this game so much and I've wanted to play it for a long time. T_T

Hi when I click on Petz5 it says that it is an illegal operation but it worked before I really want to fix it but I dont know how do I have to put the disk in or something?
If this doesn't help then try the disk in another machine or another disk drive. if it now seems to work then although your drive may seem to work on other things it is probably getting tired.
I am assuming that you purchased the game and have a legal copy. If not then that is likely to be the problem as the software protection will not allow you to play the game without the correct CD. If you downloaded the file for the Dogz part, try burning it to CD as an image file (Check your burning software for details) and try running the game with that in the drive.
If that doesn't work, then you are able to disable the CD protection file yourself if you have purchased the game so you don't have to have a CD in each time you want to play.
go to:
http://www.ddlsite.com/dogz/crack-serial...
and search for dogz or petz and download the appropriate crack for your version.
find the install directory where the game is installed(usually c:\program files\ubisoft\petz) and then copy the crack into this directory, and say yes when it asks if you wish to replace the slightly larger file - now the game should work.
Please ask for more details if you are unsure how to proceed with this and I am happy to oblige.

If you have to remove it, you can usually do this without disconnecting the drive - there will be up to 3 screws each side of the drive holding it to the frame - remove them and gently slide the drive in or out (depending how long the cables are). read the label and write down everything then put the drive back and replace the screws. If you need to disconnect the cables, then method will depend upon which model you have, however usually gently pulling directly away from the drive should do this. Cables must ALL be connected back before restarting the machine - most will only go back in one way and shouldn't be too hard to insert. If you can do this procedure then you can save yourself a fortune, buy a new cd/dvd drive (around $50 will get a good one) and you can fit it yourself.
Let me know if you need more help.
