Question about KitchenAid Architect Series KEMC308KSS Electric Double Oven
We have had our kitchen aid electric/convection oven with microwave on top for about six years. The other day my daughter was using it and the middle glass shattered for no apparent reason. We have ordered the replacement glass. We need to know how to install it. We don't want to spend $60-$100 for a repairman!
Not a problem, first you can refer to your user manual as to how to remove door, (pg 21) heres a link if you misplaced it.
then Ill include this link as well, which is apart breakdown for your GENERAL oven, and i do this so you can see the different panes of glass( ther are 4 of them inthe oven door, each one different so ordering hte right one will be half the battle. http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/Repair%20Part%20List%20-%208186032.pdf
the numbers after you model example, kemc308kss** (01,02,03,04) these last 2 digits will also determine which glass you actually have
Once the door is off and you have the correct glass, changing the glass is nothing more then reomving screws from the door frame, layer by layer until you get to the broken pane, not real difficult at all
