While the AM band and CD player on my stock Silverado CD/AM/FM radio work just fine, the FM band has no sound. It will stop on frequencies where there are stations during scan, so it is getting signal. Also if I turn the volume up all the way (and every thing else is quiet), I can just barely hear muffled noises coming from the FM. Anyone think there's a chance of anything I can do besides replacing the whole CD/AM/FM unit?

I disconnected the amp and ran jumper wires between the two harnesses basically creating an amp bypass everything now works fine.

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..

Have you check the mute mode, maybe it is in mute mode.

Had the same problem with my 2004. Replaced the stock radio with a aftermarket pioneer unit. If you replace it make sure you by the aftermarket harness so it will plug right in and all your chimes will work.

I'd suggest using the balance and fade controls to cut out each speaker one by one. to possibly determine if you have shorted speaker or speaker wiring. As far as the turn signal clicking noise, the hazard switch is the actual flasher unit for the turn signals, and could be the culprit, but the most likely cause is the turn signal switch itself. It is usually caused by corrosion across the contacts, which can be cleaned out fairly easily, but more typically, the switch is just replaced
