Does not turn on. Makes humming noise. Just started doing this. Model is 4 months old.

Check your warranty first. Then check to see if your motor is seized up. They humm when they try to turn but can't. If you know how to work an electrical meter then you can check amps, if they are high check your start and run capacitors. But FIRST check your warranty agreement. If its tampered with you won't be able to claim it.

Whirlpool Dryer Starts fine, but then stops and start button stops working

This is a sign of the Motor failing. The motor is over heating and then wont start again. When the start button is pushed, does it make a humming noise? If so replace drive motor and it will fix it all up!

Dryer was working fine, then it stopped its cycle and would not restart for next load. humming sound, drum will not turn?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

The hum sound that you hear is coming from the motor that has gone bad and needs replacement. When the dryer humms and will not work it is the motor that has gone bad, you can also check the wire connections from the control to the motor before replacing it. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

My electric GE dryer stopped working today, when

sounds like the motor is running, the belt could likely be broken and be the culprit, this is if the motor is turning for sure after you start the dryer

Little Giant stopped working; makes hum noise but wont push wate

Can you take it out of where it is and clean it with vinegar? There may be calcium built up in it. I have one also on my aquarium and when I turn it off sometimes it won't start back up, just humms.. That tells me it's time to clean it.
