My Stiletto is updated, but when I put it into the car dock, it says Antenna not detected. I know it isnt the car cradle because I have two of them for two seperate vehicles and the same thing happens.
I had this problem also. I received a replacement unit but the problem persisted. I would have to reset it to get it to work, loosing all data. I was also using the FM transmitter but it would disable that function (greyed out). After I connected the radio direct through an aux. audio port, I haven't had any issues.
One thing I suggest you try is using a second docks power cable in a different power source.
I had every problem you could imagine with my dock: antenna not detected, FM direct failing, picking up the satellite signal but not charging, then charging but failing to get the signal, the remote behaving badly, etc. For a year I tried to figure out what was wrong, testing every cable, the unit, three docks. The guy who professionally installed my system tested the power cable with a multimeter to make sure power was going to the dock. We could not figure it out.
Then it occurred to me that the dock may just not be getting ENOUGH power. The guy who put my dock and FM direct in with my car install kit certificate wired my power cable directly into my car power, under the driver's dash, so that I would not have to plug into my cigarette lighter.
While this may not happen with every car, it happened with my 2005 Altima. Whatever he had spliced into was not giving the dock enough juice to run everything. As soon as I plugged a second power cable into the cigarette lighter jack and put that in the dock, full powering of everything with no failures. If you find that to be the case, bring the car back to your installer and have him fix the connection, or just live with the cigarette lighter connection.
I also have two connections for power outlets, so you may want to even try different ports in your vehicle if one does not give you success.
If its not the recivers its the antenna connection.Try turning it slow.If you get to work or get a new 1 keep a loose bend in wire near plug an afix it somehow (behind bracket, rubberband, something),The optional antenna extesion house wire is even heavyier and puts to much force on end/plug.Good Luck, union kk

Does it get a solid signal when its in a docking station? Its likely that the internal antenna on the unit is disconnected. Antenna headphones would correct the issue, though they are not very durable at all. I know that our repair guy is able to fix the internal antenna, but I would ensure that is the issue first. Try plugging it into a home dock, car kit, or boombox to see if it works through one of those antennas.
I've had this same thing happen to mine frequently - all I do to solve the problem is to remove the battery for about 20 seconds and then reconnect and power it back on. Always works fine after that (knocking on wood)! Hope this helps!
That's one of several problems my Stiletto 2 has. The only solution I've found is to "reboot" the unit. You'll have to remove the unit from the cradle, pop the back off, and remove the battery for a few seconds. Then put everything back together and power it up. It will take a minute or two, but once it reboots it should be fine.
You need the firmware upgrade from the Sirius website:

I have noticed various changes in my invehicle FM reception as well. There should be a external antenna that came with your car kit. This is precisely for these types of issues. It is designed to run along the windshield inside the car closest to the Cars radio antenna. It should plugin to the bottom of the cradle. Then tune it into a clean FM station (one that has no local station on it) and position the cradle and/or ext. antenna till you get the best reception in your vehicle. It could very well be that the antenna has come has loose on your car stereo backplane. You would probably notice decreased reception on regular AM/FM stations as well though.
Your wifi reception/functionality is a completely different animal and has no bearing on the FM transmitter in the car cradle. When your on wifi your not receiving signal from a sat. anymore just simply streaming internet audio like your computer.
I had a sync problem with the Stiletto 2 (SL2) and was able to resolve it by the following procedure:
Click "Start" Click "Run" > Type "devmgmt.msc" Click "+" next to "Other Devices" Note: You should see a question mark and exclamation point next to "Stiletto 2" Right click on "Stilleto 2" (to see menu); then, left Click "Update Driver." Follow the steps in the windows hardware update wizard.
