Most GM factory head units have two small buttons on the face of the unit that are labeled "H" and "M", and you need to press them with the tip of a pin or other similar item.

Press the "H" button for changing the Hours, and the "M" button for minutes

it sounds like you need to turn on our amplifier. this is simple and easy to do just by connecting the blue/white wire off of the back of the radio to the blue wire on the harness that connects to the factory harness.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE TIME

    • 1

Refer to the section of your owner's manual that addresses the car radio. Each car radio is different in the way you set the clock. If you've installed a car radio other than the one that was manufactured with the car, consult the manual for that radio.

    • 2

Know that if this is the first time you're setting the clock or are setting the clock after installing a new battery in your car, you have to set the hour and the minute of time. Often, you set the clock with either the radio station up or down arrows. On some car stereos, you use the CD track selector buttons for setting the clock.

    • 3

Using either the CD or radio selector buttons, set the hour first. Push the button labeled "Set" or "Clock" and then set the minute with the same procedure. When setting the minute, some manufacturers allow you to move through in increments of five by pressing and holding the button. If the time of day were 2:49 p.m., for example, you would push the button 13 times, including nine times to display :45, then four additional times incremented by one to display :49. Push the "Set" button or the "Clock" button.

Determine whether your car stereo is equipped to automatically change when Daylight Saving Time begins and ends. If it hasn't changed at 2 a.m. of the time-changing date, you know it isn't equipped for this. In that case, set the hour either forward or backward and the appropriate time of the year.

If you can't figure out how to set the clock on your car stereo, wait until noon on any given day, disconnect your car battery and reconnect it.

Glass guy disconnected the battery to change windshield. Radio now needs code to operate the clock, radio and CD player. Code not in Owners Manual packet, door sill, under coin tray, glove box sides,...

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code. You can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorized dealership. Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.

How so I set the clock on a Jvc kd-s15 cd player

Hello... sorry to hear you are having problems. What you will need to do is to power the radio up and press the "sel" button and hold it. It will take you to the main menu where you will then use the left and right button (the one that changes the radio stations) until it tells you "clock h" then turn the volume knob to set the hour, then press the right arrow again and it should say "clock m" then turn the volume knob to set the minutes. After that, press the "sel" button again and it will take you out of the menu. Hope this helped!

if im correct, you had/have steering wheel controls....correct. if im correct then you might have tapped into these wires. some of them will give a 12v reference, in actuality they are to give the factory radio an ohm reading telling it what to adjust. my best advice is to retrace all your install wires to confirm that they are all correct wires needed to connect to. then if not it will deffinately have to take a visit to the manufacturer, hope this helps!

Ive replaced sooo many Bose systems for that very same reason. Id replace radio. Problem with Bose radios sometimes have no amp inside radio and if you replace the radio, you have to replace the entire system, very expensive, depends on year of vehicle too.
