Question about Polaroid FLM-3732 Television

TV won't turn on

We have a flat panel Polaroid 3732 (model number is 3700). For the past few weeks the tv will not turn on with either remote - the one it came with or the one for the satellite. We have to re-boot the entire power strip. Now we have to do it about 30 times and are afraid to turn the TV off for fear it won't come on again. Has this happened to anyone else? Direct TV insists it's the TV and this would seem to be so as there's no problem with the downstairs TV.

I have the same problem. We had our TV for a year and a half and now we have to unplug it several times for it to come on. No idea what to do. Also the menu is all messed up the Vchip is on and blocking everything, but we never set that up. The factory password doesnt work.

If you are handy and take the back panel off.The small square panel.Right under that panel youll see at the top two capacitors if the tops of those capacitors look swollen all you have to do is remove them with a solder gun.Go to your local RADIOSHACK I bought three for just 5 dollars replaced them and my tv turned right on with no problems.Just replace the two that are side by side.It will work. And youll save a whole bunch of money

Buzzing sound

Hello, This is a problem with the switching transformer or the ballast used to fire the backlight. You will have to replace the ballast and or the switching transformer soon. In order to replace these items, I would suggest taking it to a qualified TV technician for servicing. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com
