please i need help! im only 12 years old and me and my friend were going to put a video on youtube of us singing and then i accidently dropped my nikon coolpix touch s230 on the floor and it wont let me take any photos or vids and is saying "lens error!" i pushed the lens in like a dummy and is really broken. how much money will it cost to get my lense fixed!
The camera seems to have some lens problem. Now, that said, let's try. If you can get to the menu, reset all to default. If that does not work, then the camera will need the lens to be repaired. I would suggest you call Nikon. go to nikon.com find the toll free number under support. They will tell you what to do. This camera may still be under warranty.
when you get this error it indicates that there is some problem with the software or the software is not installed the software correctly. so plz try uninstalling the software (snap&share) and also uninstall drivers (which should be dual mode camera). Then put in the software disc to ur computer and install the software.(while installing the software camera or usbcable should not be connected to computer)
Take a look at the suggestions at the top of page 122 of the Advanced Camera User Guide. The suggestion is that the cause may have been that the camera was still on when the memory card/battery cover was opened. Try closing the cover and then turning the camera off and then on again. Hope this helps.
From your description you should most likely have your camera looked at by an authorized service technician and get and estimate on a repair done. The manufacturer usually has a list of authorized service technicians in your local area, or you could try looking in the yellow pages. I hope this helps!
It was the last day of elementary school and i wanted to get a pic of everyone together and then i dropped my camera and it went to the white kodak screen and said lens error:126,1,0,-11 and then it would trun off i couldn't believe it i was so upset. But then i looked at my lens and noticed it was crooked, i just snapped it into place and voila it worked. I was so relieved!
