The new router could very well be causing wireless interference. Try moving the router away or turning it off and see if the mouse works. If it does, try changing the channel number on the router to see if that is causing the problem as it's possible both the mouse and router are using the same wireless channel and clashing. You can usually find the channel option in the Wireless Settings page of your router setup web interface.

Will not let me on http://192.168.1.1. to config the security

go to start>>run. type in cmd and press enter.
type in ping 192.168.1.1 and press enter
you should be able to see the return message as reply from 192.168.1.1 and the time.
if you see timeout then the unit is not connected to your computer.
if it is connected then try without the http:// just the 192.168.1.1 in the brower address line.

I have a Buffalo g54 Wireless router, it keeps loosing wireless connection. Works fine when directly next to the router but when you move away it looses connection.

Buffalo wireless routers are **** and never work right, i suggest you go out and buy either Netgear or Lynksis routers as these are the best, unfortunealeley there is no fix for this a the range of the routers are limited, stick to brand name equipment

kind regards and please don't forget to rate us

you can try a couple of things...

  1. get an external antenna to boost signal strength
  2. ensure you are not sharing a channel with someon else causing interferance and degrading your signal. download NETSTUMBLER and scan for vacant channels.
  3. ensure cordless phones are not near router antenna as they often share similar frequencies causing interference
  4. move router if possible to get a "clearer" path - try to put it somewhere that reduces the number of walls etc between it and where you want to work on the laptop
BTW - I have an external antenna and I cover my 3600 sqft house easily

When we use the wireless house phone all comps using wireless internet loose connection from the router

Sometimes there is jamming in the wireless signals...try keeping the router away from the wireless phone (not the reciever - the main part).
