Hi. I unplugged for a few weeks while I took the TV outta the room. When I try to power up the unit this morn, the red standby light comes on, the time flashes --:-- and a little , really small circle symbol that might be a watch or clock. I cannot get the thing to turn on. Any advice.

usually the orange light is an indication that there is a problem with the power supply maybe there was a power surge. It shuts it self off to protect the tv from any further damage. If your tv is outta warrenty then u shld try googlin your model number and your problem. I had a issue with my tv and i searched my specific tv and discovered many ppl had the same problem and thanks to them it only cost 38 dollars to fix my tv You could have the same problem mine did it was a blown capacitor they are like $3.00 i had to take the back off mine to see if that was the problem and its easy to see they r like little batteries and most are flat but we had to that were puffed out at the end we took that board out of the tv and took it to a tv repair place it took3 hrs and its good as new. Had we not found the solution online we probably would have had to spend $100's to have it fixed.. Good luck I know it can be very frustrating, If u have a warrenty dont take the tv apart cause then they will void your warrenty.
The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes three times If your power/standby indicator is flashing in a pattern of three flashes, this may indicates that the lamp cover is not attached securely. Follow the directions in the Operating Manual under changing your lamp that related to closing and securing the Lamp Cover. Ensure that the Lamp Cover Door is securely fastened by tightening each screw.
The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes continously If your power/standby indicator is flashing continuously, and the lamp cover has been secured, your TV may be in need of service.
The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up green (not flashing) A sustained green light indicates your TV is on.
The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up red (not flashing) A sustained red light from your power/standby indicator simply indicates that your TV is in standby mode. This shows you that your TV is ready to be turned on with the remote.
Is it the power light and not the lamp light? If the lamp light is flashing then replace the lamp.
I have had this same problem twice in the past 3 months. So far both times I've been able to get it back after a week or two. I'm not sure what works, but unplugging and detaching the antenna and cable and waiting a few days seems to be the key. In both instances, I unplugged it for a few days then plugged it in for a few days and repeated the processes until I eventually got the steady red led. Both times prior to the red led the led would flash red then green and make a clickiing noise for several hours before I was able to get it working again.
Hi I had the same problem with my LT-26C31BJE. The TV just stuck in standby mode. If you tried to turn it on, it seemed like it tried to power up, but then reverted back to standby.
I solved it this way. I took the back off the TV (unplugged of course) and made sure all visible contacts were home (they all seemed to be). Also to the right of where the power lead enters the box there is a small fuse, 250V 6.3 W. I replaced this fuse and the TV now works fine.
i had my power supply blow on mine within the first year took it in because i had extended warranty and they fixed it, only problem was finding a dealer in my area to fix it, then took over a week, because of customer support issues
