Re: Lamp burned Out
Replacing the Lamp Cartridge Tool needed: Phillips screwdriver 1. Turn the television off and unplug the AC cord. 2. Remove the front speaker grill by gently pulling on each side. The grill will snap out. 3. Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the three screws (one on the left and two on the right side) that hold the recessed plastic cover in place. 4. Remove the plastic cover and set aside with the screws. 5. After removing the cover, you will be able to see the lamp cartridge. With the screwdriver, loosen the three screws of the cartridge. The three screws will not completely remove . 6. Gently grasp the metal handle and pull straight out (towards you). 7. Insert the new lamp cartridge securely into the TV. Do not touch the glass surface of the cartridge. 8. With the screwdriver, tighten the screws on the lamp cartridge. 9. Replace the plastic cover and screws. 10. Snap the speaker grill back into place by pushing it into place on each side with the palm of your hand.

Unplug your Mitsubishi DLP TV and position the unit so you can easily access the back
Locate and remove the screws for the back panel. Do not remove the entire back of the TV but the lower panel only. The screws will be located in the edge of the panel. Locate the projection box in the center of your DLP TV. The projection box will have a series of wires coming out of it and be attached to the speaker housing with four screws Remove the four screws holding the projection box in place and slide the projection box out. It will not come all the way out but will slide out like a drawer. Disconnect the electrical wires at the projection box by pulling the connectors apart. You should now be able to see the projector lens itself. Facing the back of the DLP TV, the lamp box is on the right side of the projector lens. Pull the lamp box to the right and it will slide away from the projector lens Grab the top of the lamp box firmly and pull it out of its spring holding clips. Replace it with your new lamp box by pressing the new box into place in the same manner as the old one. Finish the job by reconnecting and installing everything you opened or removed
Sound /No picture- Have you replaced the Lamp?
If Not, First make sure fans are running when Tv is Turned on .Then if fans are OK ,Most common reason is the Lamp.
What is the Model # that is printed on back of TV?
Sounds like the lamp might be burned out. The Lamp should be replaced every couple years. If they are not replaced they will eventually burn out. Replacement is not that difficult and just requires a screwdriver. The lamp is located at the back of the DLP TV on the left side. The lamp can be purchased online from Samsung for about $130 dollars. You might be able to find a aftermarket one for less. Just use your telivision's model number located on the right side of the TV on sticker to cross reference the bulb that is needed or there might be a sticker on the back at the lamp housing that has the lamp part number. And make sure to spend the extra money and get the Lamp with the housing together. You can buy just the lamp for cheaper but that will require you to remove the old lamp from the housing and they are fragile. Much easier installation with the housing/lamp combo.
Your access should be a a panel near the back or side. You will see that it is somewhat easily removed and should have maybe one or two screws. You will see the casing to the lamp. Go ahead and remove it. Now unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new one. There is not a lot of screws holding it together. It's a fairly easy process once you find the lamp. You should see the lamp once the panel is removed.
