Question about Sharp Audio & Video Receivers
I am pretty sure that the nVidia GeForce 9600 series of video cards use a DVI connector, not an HDMI connector.
While the HDMI connector has the ability to transfer digital and analog audio across it, the DVI cable does not.
You can connect a DVI video card to an HDMI display, and it is compatible for the VIDEO portion, but again, the DVI connector does not output audio at all.
You will need to connect the audio outputs of your audio card or motherboard to your TV by using a 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA jack adapter.
