Hi Bowdi,

Please find the below the information on the contacts.
You will fine two silver screws - This is your Alarm pair and this will go back to the alarm zone on the panel PCB.
The three other brass screws are just junction screws so you can join the cables to go to other doors.
You will need to join the black and blue together to make the tamper circuit.

Regards will

I need to replace my Honeywell ademco keypad M6674 Rev A. I have a vista 10 control panel. What model do I replace it with?

I am not familiar with this keypad, but if it were me, I would look to upgrade the control panel to a Vista 20P, although it's a bit involved...which keypad to use as a replacement depends on whether the current unit is wired or wireless. For wired, a 6150 or 6160 is appropriate, wireless perhaps a 5828 would be suitable...you might get a better answer by contacting Honeywell directly.

The system is not activated but the chime will not shut off, what code can I use to stop it???

First you need to check your wiring on the keypad and make sure its is the same as the control panel. If this is not done right strange things can happen.

I have a vista 40 system and the touch pad screen says open circuit. What is the fix?

It has been my experience that open ckt on keypad usually means that there is a problem with the wires or the connection to the keypad or control panel. if that is ok then it's the keypad or the control panel. good luck.

How do I change battery in alarm system

Find the main box that has the alarm control board in it. This panel can have a 12v 4ah battery or a 12 7ah battery. Unplug the old one, plug in the new one. Make sure you put the black to black red to red it doesn't matter what order but if you do it backwards then you'll have to guy buy some small fuses. GIve it about 12-24 hours and it should clear from the keypad.

How do I change the battery for alarm keypad?

Most keypads are using a 4 wire conductor coming from the security panel. If you have a wireless keypad such as a 5828 should be 3 to 4 AA batteries and as simple as removing the screws from the access panel in the back.

Brand new door contacts on my wired alarm system not working properly

1. Make sure you have a (EOL) resitor on the curcuit, it should be at the switch, but you can cheet and have it at the panel, but if your wire would ever get damaged you would not know about it 2. If you had to hammer in the switch it could have damaged the switch to a closed state and wont open when the door opens, the switch should just be pushed in not hammered 3.If the switch is installed to close to a magnet wheather stripe, that will hold the switch close 4. If it is a steel door and steel frame, and the switch is a surface switch with screw terminals, you could have some stray wires shorting to the steel frame 5. make sure your magnet is lined up with the switch

Honeywell vista 20p FC error code no monitor service beeping every 30 sec. need help how to stop beeping

If the keypad displays FC, that means that it is programmed to send alarms to a central station and a phone line isn't connected to the control panel. If you do not subscribe to monitoring services, it will have to be re-programmed. I can do that for you over the telephone if needed.

This means that the alarm panel's backup battery is either bad or not connected. These batteries provide power for the system in case of a power outage and are essential for a solid alarm system. Look inside your control panel box ( usually in the master bedroom closet ) and see if the battery connection is just off or if the battery is missing. If it is connected, it is probably too old and needs replacement. Contact your local alarm company and they can swap out your battery or provide one for you.

Hi, it is always best to disconect from mains before working.
can u see what fuse has gone?
it should be fine leaving battery in or your alarm might go off cause bell boxes have there own battery backup, just make sure you sort out shorted wires first and replace with same fuse.
