Notice: Upgraded Flex-Cable for Flip Screen in Navigation Models AVIC-N1 and AVIC-N2 To: January 3, 2007 Dear Valued Customer: Re: Upgraded Flex-Cable for Flip Screen in Navigation Models AVIC-N1 and AVIC-N2 We would like to inform you of a potential service issue with Pioneer's AVIC-N1 and AVIC-N2, inform you of our plans to resolve this service issue, and ask for your help in notifying consumers. If a consumer is not experiencing any issues currently, there is no need for the consumer to take immediate action because the one-time fix to resolve the service issue will be available if an AVIC-N1 and AVIC-N2 later experiences the service issue. _Importantly, the service issue does not pose any health or safety risk._ Pioneer is aware of a potential issue with the flex-cable powering the flip screen to the AVIC-N1 and the AVIC-N2. After a number of power cycles, the cable has been observed to fail and cause the unit to malfunction (symptoms may include, but are not limited to, the flip-screen becoming blank) -- flex-cable failure can only be confirmed by Pioneer; standard service charges may apply for service issues not related to the flex-cable upgrade. This issue may affect almost all AVIC-N1 units and AVIC-N2 units. Please contact Pioneer at the number listed below if you have a question about whether your AVIC-N1 or AVIC-N2 unit is affected by this issue, or if a specific malfunction affecting your AVCI-N1 or AVIC-N2 is related to this issue. To address this issue, Pioneer is providing a one-time cable upgrade to consumers for their AVIC-N1 and AVIC-N2 at no charge to consumers for parts and labor. Pioneer will offer the free upgrade either upon request or automatically if an affected unit is serviced for another reason. Pioneer will exclusively perform the free cable upgrade for all units (i.e., no other service facility should perform the cable upgrade). If you own an AVIC-N1 or AVIC-N2 and you are experiencing the service issue, please contact Pioneer Customer Service toll free at 800-421-1603 to arrange for the cable upgrade. Pioneer service representatives are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Eastern Time). Customers who have paid for the cable upgrade are eligible for reimbursement of certain service costs if sufficient proof of service can be provided -- please contact Pioneer at the above-listed phone number for more information regarding reimbursement rules. Customers can also review FAQs regarding this service issue. Click here to view the FAQs. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this service issue may cause you, and we thank you for your cooperation and continued support of Pioneer. My 2002 mazda mvp ausio system is not working but I can insert and eject the CD but cannot do the in tape cassette also the display is not showing the clock or any thing plz any one tell me whats wrong...

Internal board damage. Also the ribbon cable for the soft load on the cassette is not engaging. This can happen due to just ware from the age of the unit. Cold solder joints are usually the culprit, that is why the display will not light. Check yards for a newer used deck it just might be easier unless you have a shop you can send it to.

My ripspeed incar dvd player has got no picture but has got the sound what can i do to make this work

First thing comes to mind is a possible update to the system. Have you had it for a while now? If so, you should go to the computer and go the maker of the unit. Check under software updates or downloads to see if there has been a remedy or fix that the maker has published, if so...then do as it says to do and see if this resolves the problem before you get into the actual technicals of the unit. It may need nothing more. I hope this helps.

DVD won't place discs

Did that just begin out of nowhere? IS the Dvd spinning, if you listen closely and the player is making noise as well? That would be the lens trying to get a read on it but if it's scratched (I'm sure you tried others) sometimes the lens just go bad out of nowhere...Mu original 500 Sony PS1 in 1998 lost its lens about 3 months in...I can't think of anything else right this moment....I hope you fix it...

1992 GOLDWING RADIO SPEAKERS NOT WORKING

All you can do is trace the wiring back from the radio to the speakers, there is no quick fix here. To test the speakers touch a battery to the two contacts, the speaker will pop if it is any good.

Lightning audio b150.2 as soon as +12 is hooked up blows 25 amp fuse and the c2 1000uf/35v capacitors blow???????

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Double check all connections .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you.
