I wouldn't bother. You can get a equivalent camera brand new for probably $20, I just picked up a 6MP canon cam on ebay for a little over $100 that works like a champ.

I think I reversed polarity and now my charger won't work. How can I fix this?

Not sure what you wanted to charge, but with reversed polarity most of the time the device connected, will be "dead". It could be you destroyed the battery(s) When that is all, a new battery(s) should solve the problem. Only when the reversion, caused a shortage, that could have blown a fuse. When you connected a camera or another device, it could be that or the internal battery is defect.

Why does my olympus li-42b battery charger flash red?

this is either bad battery or bad connection with the charger. reverse polarity on the plug in, clean the contacts or purchase new battery.

I put a new battery and charger for my kodak v1233 but it still wont turn on

If the camera does not turn on then it can be a failure in the main control board and much cannot be done from the outside than to try a reset with the battery out for sometime.
If so you can open tocheck for some loose links, jammed drive or series fusible links/resistors.
If not the mP canbe faulty or the power circuit can be damaged with a wrong adapter or a reverse battery.( just a chance)

Some time when i try to turn it on it wont turn on always other times it does is it worth fixing

dear sir,
the first suspect is your battery, ahich is running in low battery....kindly recharge the battery for few hours and then put your camera on........
next, the problem is usually caused by virus and sometimes it might be software failure also, which causes some of the menu not to function, the only solution is to flash ur cam software from the nearest samsung service centre
thank you.....take care................

Broken camera

This camera came out in 2003 and retailed for $400. It's only a 3.2MP camera with a 1.5 inch lcd screen...not much by today's standards but was quite a camera in its day. I'm guessing by your list of problems that it would be quite expensive to fix if you could even find someone to fix it. I would seriously consider putting the money toward a new camera.

Even using new batteries the camera just wont turn on - kodak easyshare c713

Are You using the AA batteries?
Try to reverse the oirentation of the batteries, Instead of positive negative make it negative positive. I also have this problem same camera model what I did is that reverse the polarity of the battery,

MAke sure that you are using the recommended battery, If disposable you can used AA Alkaline and if rechargeable you can use KAA2HR battery or Ni-MH battery

AC adapter for ViviCam 3765.

The polarity is correct, but 400mA is not enough. One commercial supply I saw was rated at 2.5A. I even suspect 3v isn't enough as I have tried an external battery pack with D-Cells in it and after a few flash shots it wants new batteries. The camera itself seems to be over-sensitive to "low" voltage and complains about new or freshly charged batteries (see other posts).

There is a problem with these cameras in this battery voltage area. I have asked Vivitar what external voltage to use, but no reply. Good luck! I am sufficiently fed up with this camera that I may try 4.5v external supply and if it blows up, good riddance!

How do you reset the firmware on an Olympus E-410 digital SLR?

Hello coolforcats1, Go to the Olympus website, check support or downloads, check for your particular camera model, check for firmware fixes or upgades, then download and with your camera attached to your PC or Mac, follow the instructions from the website directions for a fix. Another is to have the Olympus disk with the Firmware on it. Another is to locate the reset button on the camera. Another method is to reverse polarity of your batteries for 5 seconds if your camera uses AA batteries. And last method (only for the experienced technician) is to open up the camera and look at the circuit board and find the reset button or internal battery.
