I had the same problem on a 353, i knew all parts were good had fuel and spark but would not start. Read a few forums on the net and found out that if the chain brake is locked or jammed they will not fire. My brake was not on but I had just tightened the chain on mine before the problem so slackened it right off and it started after a few pulls! I must of over tightened the chain hence problem.

Try removing your spark plug and inspecting the gap. You may need to blow out the gap if its fouled, or replace it altogether. Also, check your air cleaner, and make sure that your saw isnt getting TOO much fuel (too rich of a mixture, and it wont ignite).

Husqvarna 372xp won't start... Mysterious

I recently bought a brand new 372XP and spent the first day trying to start it as per the instruction manual with no success, never even fired once. Removed the plug to find plenty of fuel and that the plug has a good spark. Left it until the next day mainly to allow my arm to recover (& scour the internet for clues). I found a forum that said not to use the decompressor and sure enough without the use of the decompressor button it fired first go with the choke on then I reset the choke & it ran properly on the second pull. The decompressor button can be reset with fine nosed pliers or removal of the top cover by undoing three screws. Good luck it's a great saw once you know how to start it.

Husqvarna Model 51 won't start. Was running fine and has never had a problem starting (owned since new, 14+ years). Chain slipped off. Fixed and then saw wouldn't start. Good bright spark &...

If you have a good spark, and there is fuel at the plug, the only things to stop it fireing up are a sheared flywheel key knocking the timeing out, or the engine has low compression due to wear or damaged piston and ring.

I have a model 336 Husqvarna chainsaw and it won't start. Put fuel into open plug hole replug, then turn it over it fires until the fuel runs out & won't restart & has full tank, obviously...

There has to be a kink in your fuel line ,or some blockage. Dump the fuel out ,then disconnect the gas line and try to blow air through the line.

3 month old Husqvarna 235. Refuled. Won't start. Plug is firing. Primer bulb gets full. Still won't start.

These machines have had issues with main bearing cages breaking up, this it turn scores the piston and snags the ring in, if there is a good spark and the plug is getting wet i woud whip the muffler off and take a look at the piston through the exhaust port.

My model 350 chainsaw has spark but will not fire. yes there is gas in tank and i used starting fluid but no go..

Is the plug wet when you take it out ? Is the fire blue and a good arc across it ? I always dip my plug in gas if it is dry, put it in, throttle wide open and if it fires up after a few pulls its not getting fuel. Be careful eith that ether, it will hurt you.

Husqvarna 350 wont start. fired up on first pull after not being used for years and sputtered for about 5 seconds then died. now it wont start. the fuel line, air filter, and spark plug all look good.

Does the primer bulb pull new fuel into it after 3 or 4 pumps? You should clean or change the fuel filter in the tank. The diaphragm in the lower carburetor chamber is probably hard or cracked and should be replaced. There is a small filter screen within the carburetor body that may be plugged as well. Probably, the carburetor should be disassembled, cleaned with spray carburetor cleaner, and rekitted. Try a little fuel mix in the plug hole and pull through--you should get several pops which points to lack of fuel from the carburetor. Hope this helps!

Husqvarna 350 geting fire and gas but wont start

Have you tried cleaning the air filter? The carburetor fuel inlet may have screens plugged with sawdust as well. If you have spark and fuel and AIR you should get fire(combustion)
