Usually it refers to a product such as Sub Zero that actaully has two completely seperate cooling systems. There are two compressors, evaporators and fans.

My fridge is not getting cold but the freezer is fine

unless you have a very high end appliance with dual controls and compressors , on most fridge's the regular item compartment is cooled by cool air from freezer , some middle models allow you to control the amount of cool air allowed into fridge compartment via a shutter between the two sides

samsung unit are dual cool meaning as longer compressor don't fail refrigerator will work even if freezer fail and vice-verse. If freezer is not working and refrigerator must like you have defrost problem which is very common in Samsung unit, can be something as simple as a sensor or it can also be the heating element. also check the temp in the freezer it can also be the evaporator fan

Compressor is not coming on. What do I do?

You can purchase a hard start relay switch and install it on your compressor. This should bring the unit back up. In the mean time, you should unplug the unit to keep it from burning all the electrical components.

We are a parts supplier and have parts available. Please visit us at:

We hope this helps and we hope you have a terrific evening.

Maytacg dual cool refergeration

wherever you can access the condenser side closest to the fan is the best place because you want to blow compressed air through the coils from the side where the fan is located as that is the side where the air is sucked in through the coil assembly. you want to blow the dirt out in the opposite direction of the normal air flow through the coil fins.

Dual cooling fridge feezer top part of fridge warmer than bottom

You're frosting up. Either the box is set too cold or you've got a moisture problem which requires a full defrost. The fan noise is the blades hitting ice. Leave the unit open and off for a day or more and then start with standard factory settings. Avoid open liquids and window shopping inside your fridge.
