My laptop volume is so low,

I try some uption but still got problem ,do u got any idea ? I have a Toshiba M65 S909 Laptop I have had it for 3 years. When ever I play DVD's the volume is always low. When I play CD's or Wav's the the volume is OK. It doesn't matter what player I am using the Volume is always low. I have checked the setting and they are all turned up to max. Is this a hadware problem or is it a driver problem? Anyone else with the same problem?

it's not the player.  i have the same issue (toshiba satellite a75-s213).  i have the feeling it's a problem with the sound card or drivers.  i'm still looking for a fix though.

Are the dvds copies or proper ones that you buy from a shop

If the DVDs are not copies then the problem is likely the dvd player. You could try and clean the optic lazer with a cd cleaner and see if that works,

Hello,

please try to call/contact Toshiba Tech Support to advice where to get the suitable Driver's Software, but check this link 1st,

http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1157633

this is a link for all support given by Toshiba for your laptop with the contact details so you can reach the Tech Support to help with the software issue.

- My Recommendation for you is to upgrade your System to Windows 7 which will help you also to avoid such an issue in the future as its auto Install Drivers even if its not available, it search for the software and install it for you as an update.

My Toshiba Satellite M65-S809 Laptop will not turn on! However it turns on randomly sometimes when i toy around with it, but that happens rarely. I tried removing battery, and cable to take out the static,...

Hi,

Im very sorry to hear that, please follow these simple steps for you to be able to isolate the exact problem.

1. Removed the battery.
2. Connect the laptop directly to the power outlet without using the battery just for the meantime.
3. Turn on the laptop. If the laptop is able to power on, that means that the AC adapter is working fine as well as the DC port. If the laptop is not able to turn on, it maybe the AC adapter itself or the DC port.
4. Try to use another AC adapter if possible, make sure that that AC adapter is working fine. If the laptop is still not turning on, the problem is with the DC port itself. In that case, you will need to replaced the Motherboard itself.

Hope this will help...Thank you for using Fixya...

Wireless networks not found

Sometimes Satellites get a little flaky when on battery power. If you haven't already, plug in the power cord with the notebook cold - meaning off for about a minute. Boot the notebook and try to do the setup with the power connected. If that solves it, it should work fine when you switch to battery power. If it doesn't, repost with your results.

Hi Speedport!

This isn't something as simple as a dead / broken / malfuctioning battery is it ? Try removing your battery, plugging the laptop into the mains and running it idle. The Bios update you found may have been a coincedence...

Toshiba m65-s9092 satellite laptop locked with bios password

Remove the battery, and the memory cover (1 screw), and the memory module(s). Under the bottom memory module, there is a white sticker (the bigger sticker)... remove that, and there is a small copper lead labeled J2 that looks like two E's mated with each other, you need to short the E's to each other for about 30 seconds with something metal. Put at least one memory module back in, and the battery, and try booting. If it still has a password, try again for a little longer, or press a little harder with the metal object to ensure you are making a connection.
