How do I clear an incomplete print operation?

Just replaced inks. Printer refuses to print. Have disconnected: usb, power supply and rebooted, all without success. Next tried to uninstall. Message reads: "Please wait until printer has finished printing and then uninstall.''

Try clearing your spooler queue:

Delete the spool printer files loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); In safe mode, delete the spool printer files. To do this, start Microsoft Windows Explorer, and then delete all the files in the following folder (where C: is the drive where Windows XP is installed):

  • C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers

Changed the ink cartridge and now the printer doesn't recognize the computer.It says the printer is idle. What do I do?

Printer will not print. Removed both print cartrages, replaced black only due to cost/need. Printer will still not print (sheet comes thru blank)


Make sure both color and black cartridges are installed in the printer. The printer requires all cartridges to have ink in them to continue printing.

When i gave print from doucment machine takes paper and give it as it as blank, solve my problem,


Solution one: Check the ink levels To allow for full use of the cartridges, some printers continue to print even after the cartridges are completely out of ink. Follow these steps to check the ink levels in the Toolbox . The Toolbox is part of the standard printer software. Depending on the version of Toolbox on your computer, the appearance of the Toolbox features might vary. NOTE: Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When an indicator shows low ink levels, consider having a replacement cartridge available to avoid possible printing delays. Print quality deteriorates as cartridges run out of ink.
  1. Click Start .
  2. Click Printers and Faxes .
  3. Right-click the icon for your printer (c01532298.gif ), and then click Printing Preferences .
  4. Click the Features tab.
  5. Click the Printer Services button. The Toolbox window opens.
  6. Click the Estimated Ink Levels tab. A window opens that indicates the estimated ink level of each cartridge. NOTE: Depending on the printer, the estimated ink level indicators can vary in appearance. Examples of estimated ink level indicators c01867289.gif c01867290.gif
  7. If the ink level indicators show that a cartridge is low or empty, replace the cartridge.
  8. Try printing again.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , continue to the next solution.
Solution two: Restart the printer Restarting the printer might clear the issues and allow the printer to function correctly again.
  1. Press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn off the printer. NOTE: Pressing the Power button might not turn off the printer. This might happen if the printer is in an error state. Continue with these steps regardless.

Printer stopped working after I cancelled a print job


Turn off your printer and completely unplug the USB cable (from both the printer and the computer). Next check if the stopped document or the later documents are in the print spooler queue. If you can cancel all documents from the queue, do so. Otherwise: from Start Run (or the command prompt)
type: net stop spooler [enter]
then type: net start spooler [enter]

This works in XP and older MS Operating Systems but I've never tried it in Vista.

If you only enter the first command, you need to reboot the computer and then take a long coffee break after logging in before trying to print again.
