Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can i delete a user account from my macbook osx

Hiya. So long as it's not the main (Administrator), account it's pretty straightforward:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Accounts.

1. Click the lock icon to unlock it, and type an administrator name and password.
2. Select the user account you want to delete, and then click the Delete (-) button.
3. Click OK to save the user's files on the computer, or click Delete Immediately to remove the user account and all the user's files. If you saved the user's files, they are stored in a disk image in the Deleted Users folder, in the Users folder. To see the saved files, double-click the disk image in the Deleted Users folder. To delete the user's files, drag the disk image to the Trash.

Hope this helps :)

Hello Patty,
Have you tried dragging the files to your desktop and try opening them that way? if not open up your word or excel program and locate the file by using file and open.. also I would drag and place pictures to a new location other then the files folder that it was saved on.

Delete admin user

Hi,

This happened to me before but can no longer change the admin password, so I have no choice but to create a different user and delete the old one. Here's how I did it:

1. Restart you computer
2. Press f5 before the windows logo appear
3. Select safe mode
4. Click start menu
5. Click control panel
6. Go to User aacounts
7. You can now delete that account and create a new one

Hope this helps

I need to delete the main user so i can get plugins and downloads.

Chances are you only need to make your current user an Admin user.
Try the following:

Hold down on the Apple in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.

1. Select System Preferences

2. Click on the Accounts icon

a. If the paddle lock is closed click on it to open it (This requires the admin user name and password)

3. Click your User name (if underneath your name it shows Standard)

4. Then click in the "Allow user to administer this computer" if the box is empty.

If that does not work give a little more detail about what you are trying to do.

I hope this can help you.last month my sister had the same problem, and then we solved it as follow: There is a way to reset the password and it doesn't involve reformatting and reinstalling Windows. The solution is called "Windows Password Key 8.0". It is the most popular and safe solution for resetting your Windows password until now. You can down it from: http://www.lostwindowspassword.com

At first it seems good to make an admin password for your OS. Then, there are many different softwares for this job, you can put password for your files and folders, and no body could delete them, remove them, read them or write...
I suggest Encrype/decrypt software or, security Guard software
get them, install them, use them and enjoy them!

Im running winds vista and the two admin accnt have been deleted by my son now all i can get is winds cannot access the specified device path or file you may not have the appropriate permissions to access...

Hi there. You will probably need to set another one up. You will need to boot your system up in Safe Mode.

To do this, turn the system on and keep pressing the F8 key. This will bring you to the Advanced Settings menu. Choose Safe Mode. When the welcome screen loads, choose Administrator, and press enter. Now all you should need to do is to set up a new admin account from the Control Panel.

If this doesn't work. Go back into Safe Mode and use System Restore to take it back to an earlier state before the accounts were deleted. This can be found by right-clicking on My Computer and choosing Properties. Or it can also be found in Control Panel.

Let me know if these work
