NO. According to the manual, I need an M57 broiler orifice. All I am trying to do is find that part. This is not rocket science. It's locating a part that's in my range's installation manual.

What you need is a presure regulator, that part goes as the flex line comes from the house line to the stove. between the flex line and the pipe of the stove. thats where you conect the regulator for propane.

  • i have the needles that can be put in side the orifice so that when you tight the orifice it will make the flame go down. go to any stove re pear shop near you to get that needle. or the orifice. bring the one that you have so that it can be match.

Why does the oven burner seem to be getting too much gas?

Possible problem with the gas regulator allowing too much gas through the system. On LP systems the regulator should be on the storage tank. The regulator on the range usually has a changeable cap and plunger. One direction is for LP and the other direction is NAT gas. In the LP position, the plunger actually holds the range regulator wide open letting the one on the storage tank do the job.

The range came setup for natural gas I want it set up for LP. The orifices that came with the LP conversion have different colors. How do I know what color goes where??Kenmore Range 790.7423

The LP orifices for the rangetop should all be identical to each other. It's possible that the LP orifices for the oven might be different from the rangetop ones.

Changed maxitrol regulator to lp to much pressure

If you only changed the gas regulator for use with LP (the regulator located at the connection of the gas service) then you still need to change the orifices for all burners, top and oven. Of course I assume this model can be converted for use with LP. Some models cannot. A new range that can be converted for LP typically includes the needed LP orifices. A card with the LP orifices is typically located at the gas regulator.

What is the BTU rating of the dryer. If you open the dryer door, it is listed on the dryer behind the door. Most are 20,000 or 22,000 btu. The orifice # should either br 54 or 55 if it's LP.

I cannot seem to get an answer from Amana as to how I convert my natural gas range to LP. According to Amana no conversion kit is needed. Yet they cannot tell me how to convert it. The model number is:...

Gas ranges usually come with LP orifices attatched to them somewhere. In a small envelope or bag taped to the back or in the drawer they should be there. The natural orifices need to be removed and the LP ones installed. If the LP orifices are not installed properly you may get irratic flame and the flame can blacken the bottom of pans this needs to be remedied immediately due to the danger of the carbon monoxide being produced. I found good instructions for LP conversion at this site : www.peerlesspremier.com/faq-rangeconversion.htm

Flames are extremely uneven and high

okay, DO NOT USE THIS STOVE ON LP GAS.

It's not intended to be used with LP gas, because LP gas requires a smaller orifice than natural gas. Call your propane supplier IMMEDIATELY...DO NOT USE THIS STOVE UNTIL IT IS CONVERTED TO LP GAS (if it's even possible)...this is extremely dangerous and you could hurt yourself if you continue to use LP gas on a stove that was designed to run on natural gas.
